Analisis Motivasi Pelajar Indonesia Melanjutkan Studi di Jepang dengan Structural Equational Modeling Partial Least Square

Penelitian ini merupakan studi yang berbentuk deskriptif dan memaparkan tentang motivasi pelajar Indonesia yang melanjutkan pendidikan di Jepang. Studi tentang motivasi pelajar Indonesia memilih negara tujuan belajar menggunakan dimensi belajar dan berwisata masih jarang dikaji. Penelitian ini telah melibatkan 77 responden yang sedang aktif kuliah maupun telah menyelesaikan pendidikan. Data diperoleh dengan menyebarkan kuesioner melalui media dan komunitas mahasiswa Indonesia di Jepang. Untuk uji statistik dan pengolahan data dilakukan menggunakan Partial Least Square (SmartPLS 3.0). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi peluang pekerjaan yang lebih baik di masa depan pasca lulus dari Jepang dan sosial budaya Jepang tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan pelajar Indonesia yang memilih Jepang sebagai negara pilihan studi lanjutan. Akan tetapi, kesempatan berwisata selama bersekolah di Jepang memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kepuasan studi di Jepang. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai T-statistik sebesar 2,88. Selain itu, motivasi ketertarikan pada sosial budaya turut memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kepuasan dengan T-statistik sebesar 2,97. Demikian pula dengan motivasi sosial budaya juga cukup signifikan mempengaruhi variabel peluang kerja di masa mendatang dengan nilai T-statistik sebesar 3,03. Memahami berbagai motivasi pelajar Indonesia sangat penting sebagai strategi dalam perekrutan mahasiswa Indonesia di Jepang maupun sebaliknya.
