Kaum Muda dan Kecerdasan Buatan: Narasi Mahasiswa tentang Teknologi sebagai Bagian dari Identitas Akademik

Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis internalisasi penggunaan kecerdasan artifisial (AI) dalam pembelajaran digital mahasiswa melalui lensa teori habitus Pierre Bourdieu. Integrasi kerangka sosiologis Bourdieu dengan metode kualitatif naratif mengungkap konstruksi habitus pendidikan digital mahasiswa; peran modal penggunaan AI; serta pemaknaan identitas akademik di tengah disrupsi teknologi. Berdasarkan wawancara mendalam empat mahasiswa bidang studi berbeda, menghasilkan temuan bahwa AI telah menjadi modal sosial-kultural dan "kebutuhan kolektif" yang terlegitimasi di lingkungan akademik. Habitus penggunaannya terbentuk melalui pembiasaan sosial, di mana adopsi AI menyebar secara organik melalui jaringan peer group (social capital), serta tekanan kompetisi akademik. Namun, penelitian ini juga menemukan ambivalensi: meskipun AI dimanfaatkan untuk efisiensi pembelajaran, mahasiswa secara kritis membedakan penggunaannya dalam konteks akademik. Implikasi penelitian ini menggarisbawahi perlunya keseimbangan antara pemanfaatan AI dan pembentukan habitus. Institusi pendidikan beserta akademisi didorong untuk mempertahankan dimensi humanis pembelajaran. Studi ini berkontribusi pada wacana sosiologi pendidikan digital dengan menunjukkan teknologi merekonfigurasi praktik akademik tanpa sepenuhnya menghapus nilai-nilai tradisional. Rekomendasi penelitian lanjutan mencakup eksplorasi dampak jangka panjang AI terhadap pembentukan identitas akademik kaum muda kontemporer.
