Abstract
Konsep filantropi merupakan salah satu model pemberdayaan yang mengarah kepada tercapainya kesejahteraan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pemberdayaan berbasis filantropi zakat melalui instrumen zakat pada aspek sosial, ekonomi, pendidikan, dan kesehatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan Lembaga Amil Zakat (LAZ) sebagai sampel atau objek penelitian yaitu LAZ Inisiatif Zakat Indonesia (IZI), LAZ Yatim Mandiri, LAZ Panti Yatim Indonesia, LAZ Baitul Maal Muamalat (BMM), dan LAZ Mizan Amanah. Hasil penelian menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan menggunakan filantropi zakat telah dan mencakup aspek ekonomi, sosial, pendidikan dan kesehatan. Pemberdayaan yang dilakukan bervariatif dan berbeda-beda, tetapi masing-masing lembaga zakat memiliki kesamaan program pemberdayaan pada setiap bidang. Pemberdayaan aspek ekonomi dengan mengakomodir usaha-usaha masyarakat dalam akses permodalan, pemberdayaan sosial berupa berbasis penanganan bencana, memberikan bantuan biaya akses pendidikan serta bantuan akses kesehatan masyarakat.
